Access to the Central Database Server

Connection details and login credentials for students

1. Login Credentials

Individual database accounts are provided for each student group. Each group has its own set of usernames, following the naming convention below:

Group	Username range
11A	`student11a_eng_1` – `student11a_eng_15`
11B	`student11b_eng_1` – `student11b_eng_15`
12A	`student12a_eng_1` – `student12a_eng_15`
12B	`student12b_eng_1` – `student12b_eng_15`

The same naming convention applies to the remaining groups.

Password for all student accounts: student

2. Server Connection Details

To connect to the central database server using Oracle SQL Developer, create a new database connection and enter the following settings:

Hostname	`bryza.kin.tu.kielce.pl`
Port	`1521`
SID	`xe`

Important: Make sure that the connection type is set to Basic and that you select SID rather than Service Name when entering the database identifier.

If you experience connection problems, verify your username, password, and connection settings before contacting your instructor.
