Grading rules:
During each laboratory class, students complete the laboratory instructions independently. A maximum of 5 points can be awarded for in-class work.
After class, the solutions containing the programs must be compressed into a ZIP file and uploaded to Moodle.
Within one working day, a report covering only the work completed during class must be submitted. (Exercises that were not completed during class must not be included in the report.) A maximum of 1 point can be awarded for each report.
Each class includes quizzes testing students’ knowledge (worth a maximum of 5–10 points).
During the tenth class, there will be a test requiring students to write three short concurrent programs. A maximum of 15 points can be awarded.
Together, these components account for 66% of the final grade. The remaining 34% is assigned by the second instructor (laboratory classes 11–15).
Absences:
If an absence from class is excused (e.g. with a medical certificate), the missed class may be made up with another group as soon as possible. This is usually done during the first week following the absence.
Missing one-third of the classes may result in failing the course.
Being up to 15 minutes late may result in not being allowed to take the quiz.
Being more than 15 minutes late is treated as an absence!
